Pairs can only be removed if they have at least one open side and are a maximum of 2 turns away from each other. The only exception to this rule is if two identical blocks are sitting next to one another, they can be removed without the need for an open side. Accumulate coins to buy power-ups. The faster you are, the more coins you will get. You'll need the power-ups for later levels when thing really get crazy.
